How this rating system works. |

Road
Type: Loop or Out-N-Back Distance: In miles Climbing: This is a rating system of 1-10. With a 10 meaning the most amount of climbing (around 5000 ft total or more) and a 1 meaning completely flat. Scenery: This is a rating system of 1-10. With a 10 meaning beautiful views throught the ride and a 1 meaning nothing to look at. This category is subject to the authors opinion so feel free to disagree. Road Quality: This is a rating system of 1-10. This category includes the amount of traffic, road shoulder width and the actual quality of the pavement. A 10 is the prefered score here. Overall Difficulty: This is a rating system of 1-10. A 1 would mean first timer and a 10 meaning Expert riders only. |

A 1 means that there is no fear of falling and the trail is easily maneuverable. A 10 means that the trail is very technical and risk of injury is great. Grunt factor: This is a rating system of 1-10. With a 1 meaning a leisurely roll with not much effort necessary, a 10 however is a very long and strenuous ride (bring lots of water). A 10 is considered a epic ride. |
